I am beyond excited about this carder! Currently these are available for pre-order and will be shipping in 6-8 weeks.

I developed this carder with several requirements in mind.

1. The carder needed to be easy to clean. (This includes our original swift cleaner so the swift can be cleaned in 5 seconds.) Magnetic pulleys on the swift and licker in, and magnetic belt cover clip off. You can access the base of the shafts on both the swift and licker in for cleaning in less than 30 seconds for easy cleaning
2. I wanted independent motor drives for a wider ratio to achieve ultra blending capabilities. This one has a 5:1 all the way to an impressive 17:1 ratio that I absolutely love. 17:1 ratio means the swift turns 17 times for every one rotation of the licker in. This means it is carding through less fiber at a time and more evenly distributes the fiber around the drum. 
3. I wanted repeatable speed and ratio settings so you were not trying to estimate an approximate setting you found and liked. (This carder locks into absolute ratios and speeds so you can easily experiment and change it back to exactly where you had it before in a couple seconds) 
4. I wanted to be able to remove the batt without putting the carder in reverse so it could be easily pulled off at my own pace. I made the swift spin freely so the batt can be removed without power applied. 
   
5. Everything needed to be intuitive to use. Every knob and switch placement, colors, labels and behavior was designed and placed with thought behind each one. The tools needed to fit inside the carder in easy reach so you don't lose them in the middle of a batt.
   

This is not nearly all I packed into the carder. I hope you enjoy using it as much as I did designing this.

What makes this carder special? 

• Auto Swift Cleaner. Clean your swift in 5 seconds! Just swing the cleaning drum on top and hold the clean button - it's like magic!

• Onboard Tool Tray Attachments store inside front of carder. Right where you need it.
• Adjustable in seconds with the Quick Adjust Licker-in Levers (No tools required)
• Packer Brush with one knob attach. Also flips back out of the way, or can be stored under the tool tray. 
• 2" Flicker Brush Use this for cleaning Licker in, AND for opening locks. (This can also be mounted on our comb holder to use as a stationary flicking tool)
• Ball Bearings - Permanently oiled, SMOOTH operation
• Feeler Line on Feeder Board. A small groove is an additional sensory indicator letting you know if your hands are getting close to the licker in.
• No plywood here! We use Solid Cherry Wood, with Hand Rubbed Danish Oil Finish.
