Crafted in our woodshop in Central KY. This Drum Carder has been a project 8 years in the making. During the designing process I decided to LOAD the carder with any helpful feature I could imagine. (Including several never seen before features)

From the finished prototype I worked backwards going through my system to craft these efficiently so I could make the price VERY competitive and give you the greatest value. I am so excited to offer this product. As always if you don't absolutely love it I do WHATEVER it takes to make it right.

The day the Deluxe Drum Carder arrived, I avoided all chores and pulled it out of the box. It was quick and easy to set up. I had clean wool on hand, just waiting for the day it arrived. In less than 20 minutes, I had a full square of batting ready for the next step. It was so soft and fluffy. Up to this point, I have only used hand carding for my wool, so this was amazing. My two boys (ages 10 and 13) immediately jumped at the opportunity to explore this new gadget. They helped me process another section of batting. They argue over who gets to turn the carder and who gets to feed in the wool. And we all LOVE the easy clean feature. Thank you for the attention to detail and the craftsmanship you put into this product.

The wooden portion of the carder is very beautiful. The carding cloth, mostly on the licker in, is not as neat appearing as I would have liked. It works great but aesthetically I was hoping the carding cloth would be smooth and not missing any tines.

Excellent Carder

My drum carder arrived well packaged and ready to go. It's solidly built and operation is so smooth. I've already made several lovely, airy batts. Plus, the easy clean feature works like magic!

Over the Top

This is the best drum carder I have used out of three others that are name brands! I was lucky to have friends let me use theirs to decide. I love alpaca, I had no problem blending it with merino 15%! Nothing stuck to the lickerin nor did the batt give me any problems coming off. The Bam Drum Carder did the job perfectly and very easily with the smith handle. The wood used is solid wood not ply or veneer! To have the cleaner attached life is good! I highly recommend this carder over nay others that I tried plus the price point is awesome! Thank you Bam Fiber Works for a well built smooth machine.
